:: What's WalzCAM main characteristic?
WalzCAM from Intertraff has a high reliability LED illuminator, and uses a flash technique that ensures a bright plate image against a predominantly dark vehicle, even under adverse conditions (See the pictures 1 e 2 examples). WalzCAM offers camera and IR illuminator in a single package.
:: Why the camera front glass is dark?
The camera housing incorporates a sunshield, a band filter which allows image quality to be maintained under adverse conditions such as darkness, oncoming headlights, low sun, deep shadows and glint.
::
Does WalzCAM work with reflective or with non-reflective plates?
WalzCAM is suitable for reflective plates, and assures 24 hours a day number plates recognition even with high speed traffic (up to 155 mph / 250 km/h).
::
Is the Camera Housing waterproof?
The rugged metal housing is fully waterproofed, and the unit has no moving parts for high reliability.
::
Which is the maximum camera to vehicle plate distance?
It is crucial to set the size of the image correctly, either by changing the lens or by altering the camera aim. The width of a number plate should be approximately 25% of image width at the nominal point where it is to be recognized. For Access Control application like the parking management, being the distance from the lens to the vehicle plate not higher than 3 to 5 meters we suggest to use a 16 mm lens. Where number plate capture is required at a longer distance then a 25mm or a 50mm lens can be mounted on the camera board. Maximum Camera to vehicle plate distance is 25 meters.
::
How is the camera supplied?
WalzCAM is supplied with a 24 Volts DC PSU (Power Supply Unit).
::
