The D-cop Mobile manufactured by Intertraff is a portable speed enforcement system.
It combines the very best in digital image capturing with highly accurate laser speed detection.

D-cop Mobile uses a compact laser speed detector, which allows specific vehicle targeting, to measure the speed of the vehicles.
A 12.2 Megapixel integrated digital camera, captures high quality images of the target vehicle in full automatic mode or through single button activation.

The D-cop setup is very straight forward. When the system is activated, short laser pulses which are invisible and harmless to the human eye, are sent towards the vehicle. These pulses are reflected back by the vehicle and collected by the laser optical receiver. A microprocessor within the laser detector accurately calculates the speed. If the target vehicle exceeds the speed limit, two high resolution digital images are captured.

Data, including measured speed, time, date, user identification number and location is stored with the images. Once the images are captured, they are encrypted within the processor unit before being recorded on the local hard disk drive.

Evidential integrity is one of the most attractive features of D-cop Mobile.
The images captured are encoded with a digital signature, produced by software algorithms attached to the infringement record, at the time of storage. If infringement data is electronically downloaded or copied from a
DVD disk to another storage media, it is still accompanied by the original signature. Any electronic tampering with the original or copied digital record will be detected.
The D-cop Mobile can hold approximately 75.000 violations.

One of the main advantages of the D-cop Mobile is that the violation pictures are displayed on the 14-inch widescreen monitor with touch screen facility.
A full size QWERTY keyboard within a mouse pad, make the D-cop software setup and violations analysis easy and simple.
This significantly reduces processing time, allowing searches to be performed on infringements using any number of different criteria (for example date, time and location).

            

The D-cop system can be deployed on suburban streets, as well as on higher-speed thoroughfares. The units can be operated both on a tripod or mounted in vehicles. One distinct advantage of D-cop is that there are no reflectivity issues that are experienced by radar.
Using its strobe illumination capabilities, the D-cop can be deployed at a variety of locations at any time of day or night.

Different digital camera options are available to suit multiple applications, including 6.1, 10.2 and 12.2 Megapixel CCD camera sensor, with wide dynamic range, fully automatic iris/aperture, gain and light metered override functions.
